Hell has no fury like a mother defending her young. That is exactly what happened in the dramatic series of photographs. This brown bear sow has two 2 year old cubs and will defend them aggressively when another brown bear, a boar, snuck to close to the family group. She caught wind of him and immediately charged across the creek. It took under 4 seconds to reach the other bear that smartly retreated. Wildlife photograper Didier Lindsey was in the right place at the right time to capture this once in a lifetime  opportunity. These pictures were photographed at the world famous McNeil river.
